Breathing Matters Course

Join my online course compromised of mini lectures (nothing over 10mins) covering how and why we breathe, the nervous system, the role of the pelvic floor in breathing, core stability, the purpose of breath retentions, hemodynamics, hyperventilation, panic attacks, anxiety, heart rate variability and vagal tone.

This course includes:

  • MFR practice for the belly and diaphragm.

  • Somatic practices to release tension in the spinal muscles and create more awareness of the 3 dimensions of the rib cage and diaphragm movement.

  • Breath and Bandhas - and interview (30mins) regarding what they are and how to engage them with the breath (you might be surprised)

  • A restorative practice to release tension and breathe more easily into the thoracic basket. Become aware of deep held tension around the rib cage and diaphragm and how this affects your breathing.

  • Hatha practice - discovering how the breath stabilises us and also which breath pattern might offer you more support.

  • Awareness practices of the diaphragms, breathing spaces to support the spine and movement.

  • A Mindful Flow Practice - becoming aware of how we can use breathing spaces to support how we move in a more dynamic way.

  • Breathing and Stability Practice - How breath and core stability are linked.

  • Pranayama practices - learn how to start with simple mindfulness of breath and progress through to more challenging breath practices that affect the nervous system in both stimulating and calming ways.

  • 7 practices that improve vagal tone and heart rate variability so that you can easily deal with the stressors in your life.

  • 7 things you can do throughout your day to help bring you back to homeostasis and improve your breathing.

  • A downloadable 20 page PDF containing all the relevant information from the course for you to refer back to.
